Velvet Hairyson takes a moment to be somber, but only a moment.

A friend has dogs whose begging sit is adorable. The dogs sit on their haunches, but they move their outstretched forelegs in circles in the air, rather than than pull their forelegs in close in the regular "beg" position. We call this "doing the cute thing" and I like the phrase so much that I used it here for Velvet.
